Northern Michigan Mensa
Northern Michigan Mensa is a local group of American Mensa. American Mensa is part of Mensa International, which was founded in England in 1946.
Mensa has three goals for which it strives, three reasons for its very existence: to identify and foster human intelligence for the benefit of humanity; to encourage research into the nature, characteristics, and uses of intelligence; and to provide an intellectually and socially stimulating environment for its members.
